Lucas Fladzinski has been a photographer for the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose Airport Hotel for many years. His work has shown our guestrooms, restaurants, and food dishes in such an amazing way that we keep coming back to him. Fladzinski’s work was recently featured in Dwell Magazine of an amazing house with beautiful hardwood floors, great lighting, and a unique layout. “I’m pleased to announce that my photography has been featured in a four page spread in the most recent special edition of Dwell, Renovate Today on newsstands now. The images, interior and exterior photographs, were commissioned by longtime client Jennifer Weiss Architecture and the article was written by Zahid Sardar, contributing author for Dwell Magazine and he also writes the Material World column for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Director of Business Development of the Year 2012 – Carrie D. McAllen

DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose wants to take a moment and congratulate our very own Carrie D.McAllen, for winning Director of Business Development of the Year 2012. We are so lucky to have such an amazing leader and powerful business woman working at our property! She didn’t get this award without hard work and dedication! Read below about Carrie and how she got to where she is today! 

Carrie McAllen is a 3^rd generation hotelier and has enjoyed a rewarding and accomplished career of over 28 years of service industry experience with 23+ years in hotel Sales & Marketing for companies such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Fairmont and Intercontinental. Favorite parts of her job are managing budgets, increasing profit and successfully managing people by assisting in the development and attainment of their goals and objectives. Carrie is also the co-owner of an event communications production company; Grass Shack Events & Media with her husband, Mike McAllen.

Carrie enjoys many interests that include a formal education in Fashion Design at the Academy of Art University, the arts, history, mig welding, fitness, yoga, cooking, food & wine, nature, traveling, and inspiring people to do great things with without fear.

McAllen is a native of Northern California and lives in the Oakland hills with her husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 Amazon parrots.

 From all of us at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose Airport Hotel, we are thinking about those affected by yesterday’s events at the 117th Annual Boston Marathon. We are so sad that such a  tragic event had to take place. We want to take a moment and let, not only everyone in boston, but also those Boston Properties in our Hilton Family to know they are in our thoughts and prayers!
