Fashion Show at Santana Row

“Fashion, Football, and Philanthropy”

This Saturday, don’t forget to stop by the fifth-annual Summer Fashion show at Santana Row. Unlike the passed years, this show will be hosting a special guess from the San Francisco 49ers….Vernon Davis! You’re probably wondering what a professional football player is doing at a Silicon Valley Fashions show. No he’s not just there to take a peek at the models, he has teamed up with Santana Row to give 50% of the funds to the Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts, which provides art education to underprivileged youth.

There will be 2 shows, 1pm and 4pm, on this Saturday, June 1st at ___ featuring the newest retailer Calypso St. Barth’s resort wear. The fashion show will feature clothing from Santana Row retail stores, including Pink Stripes, Free People, Splendid, Brooks Brothers, Tommy Bahama, Ted Baker and Penelope. Swag will be dispensed, including 15 percent discounts at participating stores and restaurants.

After the show, festivities will continue with in-store events throughout the Row. Stores like Calypso and Furla will host wine tastings, raffles and DJs for all shoppers.

San Jose Beerwalk

Saturday, June 1st

Located at Tied House in Mountain View, they will be celebrating their 25th anniversary with teaming up with the South Bay’s Beerwalk. This event will take place on Saturday, June 1st, 1-5pm. Beerwalkers can enjoy samples from roughly 20 breweries while visiting local businesses and strolling throughthe Castro Street neighborhood. FanimeCon is an annual event that many anime, manga, and video-game lovers look forward to all year! San Jose Taco Festival

May 25 11am – 5pm

The largest taco event in Northern California, the San Jose Taco Festival brings a variety of taco recipes from more than 35 of the best regional food trucks. All plates will be $5 or less. Short rib tacos, nacho tacos, Vietnamese shrimp tacos and even ice cream tacos is just a sample of the day’s menu. Attendees and surprise celebrity judges will weigh in on their favorite tacos.

Live music acts will perform throughout the day and a kids area will feature pinatas, balloon artists and face painters. Luche Libre (Mexican-style masked wrestling) wrestling events will also take place throughout the day.

Chefs of Compassion: Cooking for a Cause

The DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose Airport Hotel‘s Culinary Team was honored to be able to participate in this year’s Chefs of Compassion: Cooking for a Cause Dining Event. West Valley Community Services (WVCS) is proud to present the 3rd Annual Chefs of Compassion: Cooking for a Cause Dining Event on Friday, September 13th at Lexus of Stevens Creek in San Jose.  The Chefs of Compassion: Cooking for a Cause Dinner is a unique dining event that challenges well-known chefs in Silicon Valley to prepare a four-course dinner with ingredients found solely from our food pantry.  Participating chefs will be judged on a five point scale for taste, presentation, and creativity.  A second award will be presented to the Chef who receives the most votes from event attendees.”

Amgen Tour of California

The 8th edition of America’s Greatest Race took place May 12-19, 2013.

Founded in 2005, Breakaway from Cancer continues to raise awareness and funds to support valuable services and programs, provided free of charge, that help people living with cancer. The initiative was created by Amgen as a complementary component to the company’s sponsorship of the Amgen Tour of California.

The largest cycling event in America, the Amgen Tour of California is a professional cycling road race (UCI 2.HC) presented by AEG that challenges the world’s top professional cycling teams. The race is key for many rider’s build up for the Tour de France.

All weekend long the Big WOW! ComicFest will be at the San Jose Convention Center with tables and tables of comic writers and illustrators, including the infamous Stan Lee. Stan Lee will be at ComicFest all day on Sunday May 19th signing autographs, taking pictures, and much more. Lee is famous for his characters such as Hulk, Iron Man, and Spider Man. Downtown Campbell Third Friday Artwalk

A great way to get out of the house and take a stroll through downtown Campbell. Check out the some amazing artwork and talk to the guest artists. This silicon valley event will take place 6pm-9pm, but don’t let the ending of the artwalk stop your night! Bars and restaurants are open and walking distance from the artwalk.

This one-of-a-kind 5k run is not only a blast, but it’s a work out! Come in your grungiest white attire and end the race covered in all different colors.
